Indra's Cloud
VRINDAVAN, INDIA – Working with the local N.G.O. Friends of Vrindavan, I created a mobile public sculpture out of plastic water bottles which brought to life a local myth about water resources and drew attention to the severely polluted condition of the Yamuna River.
“Launched on the Yamuna River, Indra’s Cloud became a potent symbol and physical manifestation of the extreme dangers of human-induced ecological degradation as well as a reminder of this knowledge that has been woven into religion, lore, and myth for eons and only recently forgotten.” – Lorissa Rinehart, Art and Object
